Sustainability
Guided by our business plan, SMAS Evolution 2025∞, SMAS continues to pursue its vision of becoming a Mobility Platform aiming for Sustainable Society. We are responding flexibly to major shifts in our operating environment, including the growing focus on decarbonization and the circular economy, labor shortages, and diversifying mobility needs.
To achieve a decarbonized society, we are promoting initiatives that address Scopes 1 to 3: Scope 1: Achieve 100% use of EVs for company vehicles by FY2030; Scope 2: Promote the use of renewable energy for electricity at business sites; Scope 3: Support customers in adopting and expanding the use of EVs.
To contribute to the circular economy, we actively promote the re-leasing and resale of vehicles upon lease expiration, as well as the use of green parts, helping advance reuse within the automotive industry.
For the provision of safe and secure mobility services, we are strengthening education programs to prevent traffic accidents and aim to achieve zero serious traffic accidents by 2030.
In terms of securing and developing human resources, we will further promote diversity and inclusion. We will also foster sustainability-minded talent who can understand and practice sustainability principles in their daily work.
We also proactively disclose information so that stakeholders can gain an accurate understanding of SMAS's sustainability initiatives toward achieving its vision. Through these efforts, we aim to build trust with stakeholders, grow together, and contribute to the creation of a sustainable future.
