SMAS recognizes that issues related to sustainability are one of the most important management challenges.
To effectively promote sustainability management, we have formed the Sustainability Promotion Committee, chaired by General Manager of Head Office. The Sustainability Promotion Committee meets four times a year as a general rule to discuss the Company's sustainability initiatives and reports the results of its discussions to the Management Committee. Important matters concerning sustainability management, such as responses to climate change, are discussed in the Management Committee and subsequently reported to the Board of Directors.
To materialize our company-wide sustainability initiatives, each department plays a clearly defined role and works in close coordination to actively promote relevant actions.
